Dr Kamran is a Professor of Orthopaedics in the JPN Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS. He is responsible for training and teaching of undergraduate and post graduate students in orthopaedics and is responsible for the supervision and training of the residents working in the orthopaedics department of JPN Apex Trauma Centre.
Dr Kamran is a lifetime member of various academic bodies and actively involved in organizing conferences and workshops at AIIMS. He is in charge of the administrative work for smooth functioning of the orthopaedic unit at the trauma centre.
He received the prestigious ASSI DEPUY SPINE FELLOWSHIP by Association of Spine Surgeons of India in 2009 and has been awarded the prestigious AO SPINE FELLOWSHIP by “AO SPINE” foundation, for five weeks in October 2010, at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong.
He also received prestigious IGASS SPINE FELLOWSHIP by “IGASS” foundation, for four weeks in April 2014, at Florence Nightingale Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey.
Professional experience Dr Kamran joined AIIMS in 2000 as a Senior Resident and was then appointed as an Assistant Professor (Orthopaedics) in Casualty Department in 2003. He later posted at JPNATC in 2005. Since then he has been there in various capacities in the Orthopaedic Department at JPNATC, AIIMS.
For AITSC, Dr Kamran is Trauma care advisor for Orthopaedics, assisting with the development and implementation of the Rehabilitation Prescription for Intervention 4 at JPN Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS.
