Dr. Sumit Sinha
Additional Professor, Department of Neurosurgical, JPN Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi.
Dr Sumit Sinha completed his neurosurgical training form All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He was then appointed in the institute as a faculty in 2005.
Dr Sinha is a trained, qualified Advanced Trauma Life Support faculty.
Dr Sinha has also obtained training from various parts of the world with Neurosurgical organisations, enhancing his surgical training and expertise. Prominent among those he has trained with being, Prof Hiroshi Sano (Japan), Prof T Kanno (Japan), Prof Louis Vialle (Brazil), Prof B Meyer (Germany).
Dr Sumit Sinha has been trained in spinal surgery and is a qualified teaching faculty for AO Spine (international), a non-profit organization for the dissemination of knowledge about spinal Pathologies, all over the world.
He has acclaimed several national and international awards to his name and has more than 150 publications in various peer-reviewed neurosurgical journals.
Dr Sinha has been awarded the Young Neurosurgeon Award by the Japanese cerebrovascular surgery society and been invited for presenting his vast experience and research work both in the country and abroad several times.
He has won numerous national and international awards for his research work on role of Genomics and stem cells in TBI- prominent being – ASSI best research work in basic sciences (2016) for his work on stem cells in SCI, and AANS best abstract of the year 2015 for role of genomics in TBI
Dr Sumit Sinha is an accomplished brachial plexus and peripheral nerve surgeon and has till now operated more than 300 complicated cases of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries with a high success rate and has largest experience of operating on such type of cases.
He is also an accomplished researcher with several scientific research projects under his name, funded by national agencies such as ICMR and DBT.
As a Co-Investigator for AITSC he works as Trauma Care Advisor for Neuro Surgery & is involved in the Rehabilitation Prescription Development at JPNATC.
