Mr Sheikh Vamik is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow at Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital and University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi.
After graduating in Statistics & Computer Science, Mr Vamik completed a Masters in Health Statistics (biostatistics) from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University in 2013.
He has gone on to complete a number of summer training programs in New Delhi including, Computational Biostatistics through the Department of Biostatistics at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), as well as Multicentric Data Analysis & Survey planning at the National Institute of Medical Statistics, Indian Council of Medical Research.
Mr Vamik is also successfully certified in the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) and Injury Scaling coding course through the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM).
Mr Vamik has worked as a Field Worker at Sachchidanand Shikhshan Sansthan in Varanasi where he gained professional and technical knowledge in Epidemiology, demography, statistics, and data management. He has expertise in Activity Monitoring & Evaluation, Evaluation Design, data analysis, and reporting.
As a Senior Research Fellow for the AITSC, Mr Vamik is responsible for high quality data collection of trauma patients presenting to GTB Hospital and accurate data entry into the AITSC Trauma Registry database. With his experience as a statistician, Mr Vamik also assists with the ongoing monitoring and reporting of the registry data.
