Professor V. Singaravadivelu is the Professor and Chief in the Institute of Orthopaedics at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and the Nodal Officer for Tamil Nadu Accident and Emergency Care Initiative project.
He graduated with an MBBS from Coimbatore Medical College in 1988, finished his Diploma in Orthopaedics from Stanley Medical College in 1993, and was awarded the Masters of Surgery (Orthopaedic) in 2000 from Kilpauk Medical College. Professor Singaravadivelu was also granted a PhD from the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University. Professor V. Singaravadivelu is a Senior Consultant and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Nobel Hospital and RIGHT Hospital. He has also been the President of the Madras Orthopaedic Society.
Professor Singaravadivelu has published various articles in the Journal of TNOA that include: Resection and Reconstruction of Recurrent Giant Aneurysmal Bone Cyst – Case Report of Two Cases; Case Report on Patella Cubiti – Is It Always Bilateral; Distal Tibial Metaphyseal Fractures – Does Blocking Screw Extend The Indications Of Intramedullary Nailing; Floating Knee Injury Associated With Patella Tendon Rupture – Case Report And Review Of Literature; And Multi-Fragment HOFFA’s Fracture With Irreducible Posterior Dislocation Knee – Case Report.
Further, he has been instrumental in organising various courses such as the Introduction to Research Methodology; MMC PG clinical crash course; TNOA basic Hip Arthroplasty course, TNOA basic Knee course, CME on Skeletal Dysplasia, Complex Hip Arthroplasty course, Increasing the survivorship of THR, Annual conference of Madras Orthopaedic Society.
Professor Singaravadivelu has also attended more than 100 conferences at national and international level as faculty in trauma and arthroplasty.
